Spikes Nationals Prep Tournament proudly sponsor Kits for Kids.

Kits for Kids provide personal hygiene and basic "medicine cabinet" items that are scarce in the developing world. If a child gets hurt, families might have to travel a long distance by bicycle, bus or even on foot to receive care at the nearest hospital or medical clinic. Working with pediatricians and nurses, Project C.U.R.E. developed Kits for Kids to give parents in developing countries the supplies they need to provide basic care at home. A bar of soap encourages handwashing, too. Kits for Kids is a great service learning project or family activity!

We kindly and respectfully ask each registered team to build a bag by bringing the following items:

  • Acetaminophen OR Ibuprofen (Jr. or 200 mg. tablets only)
  • Box of Adhesive Bandages
  • Triple Antibiotic Ointment
  • 1% Hydrocortisone Cream
  • Toothbrushes (min. 4)
  • Hand sanitizer (travel-sized)
  • Elastic Bandage
  • Comb
  • Facial Tissues (travel-sized)
  • Blunt Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Bar Soap
  • Nail Clippers (no manicure sets please)

Spikes has purchased and will be donating a Kits for Kids bag to each team at time of registration. Just fill it in with the above items  you brought with you and drop it on Friday at the Kits for Kids booth. Extra bag will also be available for purchase ($5) if you have brought more of these items.
